Marinara Sauce

Marinara Sauce

I've got 12 quarts of this put up so far. This is made with my own Brandywine tomatoes, fresh genovese basil from my herb patch and a curiously strong hot spicy oregano I grow. It's so strong that it only takes a bit, but gives the sauce a wonderfu sharpness. It's great as a pizza sauce. I'm getting down to the wire with the tomatoes at this point. I've already got the fall garden mostly planted. So, right now, I'm mainly collecting the last of the tomatoes and okra and waiting for the watermelons to finish ripening.

there is Nothing like a fine Marinara gently ladled over tender pasta...
unless of course... toasted tips of bread gently dipped.. and a little fluffy cheese bits to sprinkly... ay... Marinara...:)

Yep, I'm reaching the end of my rope with all our tomatoes. However, I don't can like you so it will all be over soon and then I'll be lost...
